Khanga flower
The 'khanga flower' pattern is one of the Design Team's classic fabric prints. Design Team are the fabric designers behind the clothing ranges on Lou Hopper, as well as the bags from Peppertree.
'Khanga' is a word from the old Bantu language relating to a piece of printed cotton fabric, which was wrapped or worn close to the body. Khangas have long been known as a traditional type of dress for women all over Africa.
The lovely rambling 'khanga flower' finds its way onto bags in the Peppertree range and also into some of the fabrics in Olkapolka's clothing. Look out for them ...
